This bill declares that the power to regulate “greenhouse gas emissions” is a prerogative of the state and not localities. CPAC opposes municipal overreach on greenhouse gas regulations and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 11, 2023 by a vote of 25-6 and the bill later became law.
