RC 116
Tearing Down Obsolete COVID-19 Requirements.
2023 - US House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill sponsored by Rep. Thomas Massie annuls the CDC’s “Amended Order Implementing Proclamation on Advancing the Safe Resumption of Global Travel During the COVID-19 Pandemic.” This order restricted noncitizen nonimmigrants from entering the United States if they were not fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The bill also prohibits the CDC from creating future orders that impose similar requirements. CPAC opposes vaccine mandates, believes that the decision to receive a vaccine should be made as voluntary as possible, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 8, 2023 by a vote of 227-201 but the bill failed to advance in the Senate.
