This joint resolution sponsored by Rep. James Comer nullifies Washington D.C.’s Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022. The measure allowed people that were not citizens of the US to vote for local positions. CPAC opposes measures that encourage election fraud, believes that only citizens should be permitted to vote, and supported this resolution. The House passed this joint resolution on February 9, 2023 by a vote of 260-162.
