The Thomas Massie amendment to the Parental Bill of Rights Act declares that it is the sense of Congress that the Department of Education be terminated before the end of 2023. CPAC supports substantial reductions in the size of the bureaucracy, supports the termination of the Department of Education, and supported this amendment. The House defeated this amendment on March 24, 2023 by a vote of 161-265.
