This bill by Jeff Duncan (CPAC Score 97%) preserves states' rights on hydraulic fracturing by prohibiting the president from declaring a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing and gives the states primacy over regulation.  CPAC supports states’ rights to set their own energy regulation and supported this bill. The House passed the bill on March 20, 2024 by a vote of 229-188 but the bill was not taken up by the Senate.
