2023 - US Senate

Vote Description
This Congressional Review Act resolution sponsored by Sen. John Kennedy nullifies a rule created by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau entitled, “Small Business Lending Under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B).” The rule makes it easier for the CFPB to receive information on the demographics of businesses that submit applications for credit to covered financial institutions. CPAC recognizes that this information is used to promote the Left’s equity agenda, opposes the racist and sexist means employed by the Left to reach the goals of this agenda, and supported this resolution. The Senate passed this resolution on October 18, 2023 by a vote of 53-44.
