This joint resolution amends the state constitution to require a super-majority in a voter referendum to impose a new tax or raise an existing tax. CPAC supports efforts to make it harder to raise taxes and supported this resolution. The House passed the resolution on February 8, 2024 by a vote of 54-20 but the resolution did not pass the Senate and will not be on the ballot in November.
