Vote Description
This bill requires that physicians procure from women their consent to an abortion prior to performing an abortion. This also means that they must first inform a woman about her right to withdraw her consent to an abortion prior to its performance. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, supports efforts to decrease its practice, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 27, 2023 by a vote of 52-47 but the bill stalled in the Senate.
