This bill prohibits the MEI Project Approval Commission from approving projects for businesses that do not commit to having 30% of their board be women or from “historically underrepresented groups.” CPAC opposes racial discrimination, opposes measures that encourage companies to engage in racial discrimination, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 7, 2023 by a vote of 22-18 but the bill stalled in the House.
