Vote Description
This bill allows counties to levy an additional 1% sales and use tax on the people such that the county may pay for the construction of schools. CPAC believes that counties should instead construct schools with the revenue that they already possess instead of raising the tax burden on the people and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on January 23, 2023 by a vote of 26-10 but the bill stalled in the House.
