This bill creates a plan to divest the state’s pension funds from companies in the fossil fuel industry. CPAC believes that the government should abstain from making investment decisions based on ESG standards and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 30, 2023 by a vote of 22-8 but the bill did not progress in the House.
