This bill sets up a clean heat credit program as part of the state’s efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions. CPAC supports all forms of energy, believes that the government should not support one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The Senate failed to override the Governor’s veto of this bill on May 9, 2023 by a vote of 20-10.
