SB 5982
Radically Expanding State Health Powers with Vaccination Definition Changes.
2024 - Washington House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill vastly expands the definition of "vaccine" to include any immunization approved by the FDA. In doing so, it would delegate further power to the FDA and allow the state to potentially give such products to children. CPAC opposes this arrogation of power to the FDA and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on February 22, 2024 by a vote of 61-32 and the bill later became law.
