This bill prohibits public institutions of higher education from discriminating against belief-based student organizations because of any requirements that its leaders or members comply with the organization’s standards of conduct. CPAC supports the preservation of First Amendment freedoms and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 27, 2024 by a vote of 31-1 and the bill later became law.
