This bill allocates a proportional share of school district central office nonpersonnel and personnel expenses to charter schools. It directs existing education dollars to follow students rather than prop up bureaucracies hostile to school choice. CPAC supports equitable funding for charter schools and educational competition and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-01-27 by a vote of 28-3, and the bill later became law.
