(February 26, 2022) — On Sunday, singer Lee Greenwood will be honored at the 2022 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida as the third individual inducted into the CPAC Hall of Fame. Lee Greenwood is best known for his hit song “God Bless The U.S.A” which was released in 1983 and has become one of the most recognizeable patriotic songs in America. Artist Lee Greenwood was nominated by President George W. Bush to sit on the National Endowment to the Arts Council and has served in that capacity under four U.S. Presidents. Lee will be presented with an award and inducted into the CPAC Hall of Fame on the main stage at CPAC on Sunday. “We are honored to bestow this award to a true patriot, Lee Greenwood,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp . “This is only the third time we have inducted someone into the CPAC Hall of Fame, and there is no one more patriotic and deserving than Lee Greenwood and his American ballad ‘God Bless the U.S.A.'” Throughout his extensive career, international country music icon Lee Greenwood has earned multiple CMA and ACM Awards, including a Grammy Award for Top Male Vocal Performance on “I.O.U,” in 1985, and numerous prestigious awards and nominations. Known for his stand-out patriotism and support of the U.S. military, Greenwood has been honored with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society Patriot Award and entertained troops on more than 30 USO Tours. “Being inducted into the CPAC Hall of Fame would make Presidents Reagan and H.W. Bush and their respective wives First Lady Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush so proud. CPAC Releases Rhode Island Legislative Scorecard, Exposing Extreme Leftism Packed into the Nation’s Smallest State. ALEXANDRIA, VA (March 13, 2024) — CPAC Foundation’s analysis reveals that Rhode Island’s Democrats readily followed their New England counterparts in advancing socialist Left policies at the state level. Democrats in the legislature averaged a little over 2% across both chambers and succeeded in passing a wide variety of key progressive agenda items. SEE SCORECARD HERE “Don’t let this state’s small size fool you, its progressive ego is as big as its neighboring states,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “Rhode Island is now issuing state ID’s to illegal immigrants and has granted voting rights to minors.” The following members of the Rhode Island State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Excellence for voting with the conservative position at least 90% of the time during the 2023 session: George Nardone (93%) Brian Rea (93%) Brian Newberry (92%) Patricia Morgan (91%) Additionally, a few lawmakers in the Rhode Island State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Achievement for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time during the 2023 session.
