  • CPAC Calls for Investigation of Black Lives Matter, Inc. and Related Antisemitic Groups

CPAC Calls for Investigation of Black Lives Matter, Inc. and Related Antisemitic Groups CPAC Calls for Investigation of Black Lives Matter, Inc. and Related Antisemitic Groups Dear Attorney General Miyares: During the summer of 2020, far-Left agitators and activist groups mobilized throughout the streets of America's biggest cities causing a record-setting $2 billion in damages. Major corporations, scared of becoming the next target of militant cancel culture, paid ransome to the tune of $99 billion to the "Black Lives Matter (BLM)" movement and related causes. Unfortunately, there has been a major failure on behalf of the media to investigate and hold the shadow-network of Leftist extremist groups to account for how the money was spent. Now, following the terrorist attack from Hamas, where hundreds of civilians were brutally murdered in Israel, BLM-affiliated groups have triumphantly shared out their support of the terrorist actions. There support remains even as up to 150 hostages, including American citizens, are being held captive. This came as a surprise to many in the media, but it did mot to those who have been calling out these domestic terror groups for what they were from the beginning. The antisemitism and hatred of the Zionist state was always apparent from BLM and the Left. As BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors said at Harvard Law School in 2015, "if we don't step up boldy and courageoulsy to end the imperialist project called Israel, we're doomed." CPAC (Conservative Political Action Coalition), the nation's original conservative grassroots organization, has always been a proud supporter of Israel. CPAC has brought together prominent conservatives from both countries at events both domestically and internationally, including bringing CPAC to Israel. In this vein, we outright reject the BLM movement's antisemitism and call for the immediate investigation of their financial records to determine if they have, in any way, funded the terrorist actions against Israel. We call for State Attorney General to immediately begin reviewing BLM-affiliated groups operating in their state's and their ties to terrorism. We have also called on Members of Congress to begin holding hearings to investigate if any of the $99 billion has been used to fund or promote terrorism domestically and across the globe. Congressional Parents Bill of Rights Statement Congressional Parents Bill of Rights Statement Alexandria, VA — Today, the Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC) announced their support of H.R. 5 , the “Parents Bill of Rights,” sponsored by Congresswoman Julia Letlow, Ph.D. (LA-05): “The radical left and their cronies at morally corrupt teachers unions are trying to take away the right for parents to direct the upbringing of their children. The left has been steadily advancing anti-American “Critical Race Theory” and promoting radical gender indoctrination in schools, all behind the backs of parents. It is imperative parents are aware of what is happening to their children after they are dropped off at school. We at the Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC) support H.R. 5, the aptly named “Parents Bill of Rights,” which will empower parents to make the best decision for their children’s education through crucial transparency improvements.” ### NEWS & RELEASES . • RIP, Energy Independence

RIP, Energy Independence RIP, Energy Independence On the opening day of 2020’s Republican National Convention in Charlotte, President Trump championed the remarkable achievement of American energy independence. “We have achieved American energy independence. We’re now #1 in the world by far. . . These phonies, they want to end everything we have done. . . We have done things nobody thought was possible, for example, the Keystone pipeline. . . Basically, [Democrats] want no fossil fuel whatsoever. No gas, no oil, no coal, no nothing,” he said. After years of dependence on the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), for half our oil, America has become largely independent. We now export as much oil as we import. Further, as of 2019, Saudi Arabia provided a mere 6% of our oil. If Joe Biden had his way, we would still be dependent on OPEC countries like Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela. In 1981, Joe Biden voted to nullify President Reagan’s plan that started us on the path to energy independence. Reagan’s plan to deregulate oil and natural gas prices survived despite Biden’s foolish vote. As a result, our oil imports dropped from 45% to 28%. Unfortunately, Biden did not learn from experience. In a debate with socialist Bernie Sanders in March of this year, he admitted—then backtracked the next day—that he would ban new fracking. Fracking, of course, is among the greatest innovations in oil drilling that contributes to the ongoing effort to achieve complete energy independence. In Biden’s America, it would be only a matter of time before we‘re back to relying on foreign producers to keep our economy moving. NEWS & RELEASES . Washington Rises in National Conservative Rankings CPAC Presents 40 Lawmakers Awards for Conservative Voting ALEXANDRIA, VA (August 1, 2022) — The voting of Washington’s Republican state lawmakers is trending more conservative according to a new analysis conducted by the Center for Legislative Accountability (CLA), a project of CPAC Foundation and the American Conservative Union Foundation. This year, 40 state lawmakers have earned awards from CPAC for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time, a significant increase compared to last year where just 23 lawmakers earned awards. Additionally, the work of Republicans to reject the increasingly radical agenda of Governor Jay Inslee raised the conservative rating of the legislature from 35% to 39%.
