CPAC Condemns the Obama-Biden Corruption of the FBI and the Intelligence Community Exposed by the Durham Report CPAC Condemns the Obama-Biden Corruption of the FBI and the Intelligence Community Exposed by the Durham Report Statement by CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp: “For years, the corrupt political establishment and the mainstream media pushed a LIE onto the American People. They told us that Donald J. Trump colluded with Russia to interfere with the 2016 Presidential Election. Today, Special Counsel John Durham released his report on matters related to intelligence activities and investigations arising out of the 2016 presidential campaigns. Durham’s findings confirm what we knew all along – this was a concerted campaign to undermine and discredit the duly elected President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump. Perhaps the most devastating part of Durham’s report are the direct links to the following people in this effort to undermine our democracy: President Barack Obama, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, and then-Vice President Joe Biden. The fact that government agencies were used in a partisan way to both spy on and lie about a presidential candidate, and subsequently, the President-Elect of the United States of America, undermines the integrity of our institutions and the democratic process at large. CPAC strongly condemns this partisan witch hunt and is dedicated to ensuring that every actor involved in this effort to undermine the 2016 presidential election is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.” Contact: Comms@Conservative.org NEWS & RELEASES . CPAC Releases Vermont Legislative Scorecard, Illuminating the Left’s Plan to Undermine America’s Elections. CPAC Releases Vermont Legislative Scorecard, Illuminating the Left’s Plan to Undermine America’s Elections. ALEXANDRIA, VA (March 14, 2024) — CPAC Foundation’s analysis reveals several noteworthy attempts to change election laws in Vermont. In 2023, Democrat legislators amended the town charters of various municipalities to allow illegal immigrants and minors to vote. They also attempted to enact ranked-choice voting in some major areas. Though this type of legislation is not exclusive to Vermont, it is helpful to view these bills as a good sampling of what the most radical Leftists have in store for America’s election system. SEE SCORECARD HERE “If you thought ballot harvesting was bad, Democrats in Vermont used last session to begin allowing cities to let illegal immigrants and minors vote,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “If that was not offensive enough, Vermont also passed legislation allowing businesses to get sued if they misgender an employee.” The following members of the Vermont State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Excellence for voting with the conservative position at least 90% of the time during the 2023 session Senate: Brian Collamore (100%) Russ Ingalls (100%) Terry Williams (100%) Randy Brock (90%) Robert Norris (90%) David Weeks (90%) House: Carolyn Whitney Branagan (100%) Eileen Dickinson (100%) Rodney Graham (100%) Lisa Hango (100%) Mark Higley (100%) Larry Labor (100%) Woodman Page (100%) Joseph Parsons (100%) Arthur Peterson (100%) Brian Smith (100%) Charles Wilson (100%) William Canfield (90%) Paul Clifford (90%) Wayne Laroche (90%) Additionally, several lawmakers in the Vermont State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Achievement for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time during the 2023 session. Their names are highlighted in gray on the scorecard. The bills featured in CPAC’s 2023 Ratings of Vermont address abortion, election security, and DEI initiatives. These issues, coupled with our mission to protect life, liberty, property and upholding the American family, created the basis by which the CPAC Foundation rated the Vermont legislature. CPAC Releases West Virginia Legislative Scorecard, Revealing the Most Conservative State Capitol in the Nation. CPAC Releases West Virginia Legislative Scorecard, Revealing the Most Conservative State Capitol in the Nation. ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 9, 2024) — CPAC Foundation’s analysis shows that West Virginia’s overall score increased by 8% since the past year, making its GOP-dominated legislature the highest scoring in the country. This sizeable increase is in large part a result of the major gains that Republicans made during the 2022 election and the continued commitment of existing legislators to conservative principles. Republican averages remained in the 80s, continuing their trend of conservative achievement. SEE SCORECARD HERE “West Virginia is our top ranked state, meaning it is the most reliably conservative legislature in the nation,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “This rating comes as the state fully transitions from Democrat to conservative Republican.” CPAC recognizes several West Virginia legislators recognized by CPAC for their conservative voting records. The following members earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Excellence for voting with the conservative position at least 90% of the time during the 2023 session: Senate: Patrick Martin (93%) Rupie Phillips (92%) House: Laura Kimble (100%) Todd Longanacre (100%) Chris Pritt (100%) Mark A. Ross (100%) Eric Brooks (93%) Elias Coop-Gonzalez (93%) Henry Dillon (93%) Tom Fast (93%) Geoff Foster (93%) Michael Hite (93%) Josh Holstein (93%) Bill Ridenour (93%) Amy Summers (93%) Darren Thorne (93%) Wayne Clark (93%) Michael Honaker (93%) Eric Householder (93%) Dean Jeffries (93%) Additionally, many lawmakers in the West Virginia State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Achievement for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time during the 2023 session. The bills featured in CPAC’s 2023 Ratings of West Virginia increased government transparency, limited government spending, promoted parental rights in education, and strengthened 2nd amendment rights. CPAC Releases Wyoming Legislative Scorecard – Exposing ‘Do-Nothing Republicans’ CPAC Releases Wyoming Legislative Scorecard – Exposing ‘Do-Nothing Republicans’ ALEXANDRIA, VA (May 31, 2023) — CPAC Foundation’s analysis reveals the Wyoming Senate and House voted less conservatively during the 2022 session compared to the previous session. Republicans in the House, for instance, voted with the conservative position an average of 59% of the time, compared to 72% last year. SEE THE SCORECARD HERE “Wyoming has one of the largest supermajority Republican legislatures in the Country, but fails to deliver on conservative policies,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “When it came to issues like closing the primaries to prevent Democrats from picking Republican nominees, banning racist indoctrination in the classroom, and providing parents the ability to pick the best educational opportunities for their kids, Wyoming Republicans failed to deliver.” Several Wyoming state legislators are recognized by CPAC for their conservative voting records based on the just-released analysis from CPAC Foundation’s Center for Legislative Accountability. The following members of the Wyoming State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Excellence for voting with the conservative position at least 90% of the time: Senate: Bo Biteman (94%) John Kolb (94%) Lynn Hutchings (93%) House: Chuck Gray (100%) Rachel Rodriguez-Williams (100%) Jeremy Haroldson (94%) Mark Jennings (94%) Pepper Ottman (94%) Clarence Styvar (94%) The following members of the Wyoming State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Achievement for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time: Senate: Anthony Bouchard (88%) Troy McKeown (88%) Dan Dockstader (88%) Tim French (88%) Tom James (88%) Tim Salazar (88%) Cheri Steinmetz (88%) House: John Bear (88%) Christopher Knapp (88%) Chip Neiman (88%) John Winter (88%) Bill Fortner (82%) Jim Blackburn (82%) Mark Baker (81%) Among the votes scored in CPAC’s 2022 Ratings of Wyoming were bills that addressed life, protections against men competing in women’s sports, Second Amendment rights, school curriculum transparency, election integrity, tax cuts, and school choice. In 2022, Republicans held a supermajority in the Wyoming State Legislature. This gave them the opportunity to pass key legislation expanding school choice, protecting women’s sports, and defending life. These issues, coupled with conservative policies such as lowering taxes, protecting the Second Amendment, and upholding the American family, created the basis by which CPAC Foundation rated Wyoming legislators. - From Protector to Persecutor
From Protector to Persecutor From Protector to Persecutor In Biden’s America, the unborn don’t stand a chance. Joe Biden’s shifting positions on abortion over the years reflect a longstanding, slavish devotion to party extremists. Even the New York Times, an outlet known for its unapologetically liberal bent, said of Biden, “his back and forth over abortion has become a hallmark of his political career.” On entering the Senate in 1973, Biden touted his Catholicism and voted pro-life. In 1974, he blasted Roe v. Wade, saying of the 1972 Supreme Court decision, “I don’t think that a woman has the sole right to say what should happen to her body.” Sadly, Biden’s penchant for championing the rights of the unborn was short-lived. The watershed moment arrived in 1982 when Biden voted for a Constitutional Amendment to overturn Roe v. Wade, allowing states to make their own decisions. At the time, Biden called it, “the single most difficult vote I’ve cast.” A year later in the Senate Judiciary Committee, he voted against it. In 1991, he even voted against a bill requiring facilities that receive federal funding to notify parents about abortions performed on their minor child. By 2019, Biden said he would codify Roe v. Wade as a federal law if he is elected. Joe Biden’s shameful transition from protecting unborn lives to facilitating the financing of their extermination tells you everything you need to know. - First anniversary of the overturning of Roe V Wade
First anniversary of the overturning of Roe V Wade First anniversary of the overturning of Roe V Wade Today is the one-year anniversary of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. A monumental case in the decades-long fight to defend the dignity and worth of every human life and to restore our tattered Constitution to correctly return the power to make laws to the people. Since Dobbs however, the effort to destroy life has intensified. The unholy Left in blue states have codified gruesome late-term abortions into law and woke companies subsidize the destruction of life while cutting access to maternity care. An ugly culture has emerged across our United States which dehumanizes life, seeks to sterilize children in the false notion of ‘gender-affirming’ surgeries, and devalues women by invading their bathrooms, sports teams, and sororities. With President Joe Biden at the helm, our Nation’s institutions have been coopted by the most radical elements of the Democratic party. The Left is now working to delegitimize the Supreme Court, one of the few institutions left which they do not outright control. Because of this, Merrick Garland’s DOJ has refused to enforce laws to protect the Justices and the leftist media creates fake controversies attacking the Justices who ruled in the Majority in Dobbs . Since our founding in 1964, the Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC) has advanced the movement to protect human dignity, religious rights, and individual liberties. The anniversary of Dobbs must serve as a call to action for all Americans to reaffirm our commitment to one another and restore our broken culture. Dobbs was not the end of the fight to protect life, but rather the beginning. NEWS & RELEASES . - In Biden’s America, Miners, Energy Workers get Left Behind
In Biden’s America, Miners, Energy Workers get Left Behind In Biden’s America, Miners, Energy Workers get Left Behind At a rally last year in the coal mining town of Derry, New Hampshire, Joe Biden put a cruel spin on Marie Antoinette’s famously callous suggestion to starving peasants—“let them eat cake.” Since they wouldn’t have jobs if he were elected, Biden suggested miners should simply learn to code . In Joe Biden’s America, miners and their families don’t matter. Given the chance, he would likely deep-six thousands of Minnesotans’ jobs by reviving a process barring mineral permits and leases in 234,000 acres of Superior National Forest . Six weeks before leaving office, the Obama-Biden administration’s U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) denied renewal of mineral leases for the Twin Metals Minnesota copper-nickel mine. Further, they began the process to lock down new mining near Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness for 20 years. In July of 2020, the Trump administration’s BLM cleared a path for the Twin Metals Minnesota mine and will begin an environmental impact review for multiple metals mining. Understandably, Biden has remained mum on the Twin Metals issue during the campaign. The near-octogenarian’s hostility toward mining dates back to 1975, when he voted to impose federal regulations on mining. Predictably, legislation heaping federal regulations on the largely state-regulated industry forced a reduction in coal production. Energy sector jobs will be on the chopping block in Biden’s version of the Green New Deal. Thousands of good paying union jobs will disappear on day one when Biden has promised to revoke the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline . Add to that loss thousands of mining jobs, as well. Perhaps Biden should take his own advice and learn to code. With policies and attitudes like these, he should soon have plenty of time on his hands. NEWS & RELEASES . - CPAC responds to media attacks on CPAC Hungary
CPAC responds to media attacks on CPAC Hungary CPAC responds to media attacks on CPAC Hungary Budapest, Hungary — CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp released the following statement after coordinated smears by the Leftist media on CPAC Hungary: As CPAC’s first conference in Europe is underway, with conservatives assembling from across Europe and around the globe, the Leftist media launched a coordinated smear campaign on conservative leaders on both sides of the Atlantic. We must be doing something right. CPAC exists to defend the sovereignty and dignity of every individual. Our mission is to increase freedom and opportunity across the globe, including for those living under socialist and Communist regimes. To hear the condescending whines from socialist boosters in the media like The Guardian , however, you would be led to believe that CPAC stood for something very different. In the woke, warped logic of government-financed NPR, somehow calls for liberty and national sovereignty are akin to racism and authoritarianism. The truth that globalists will never understand is that freedom does not yield to submission, division does not increase prosperity, and government does not drive innovation. Speakers at the conference have made clear that Vladimir Putin has unjustly invaded Ukraine, and there is great sympathy for the hardships for the Ukrainian people. As Prime Minister Orbán said in his opening remarks, “Russia is the aggressor, Ukraine is the victim. We condemn the aggressor, we assist the one attacked.” While the Liberal media and Democrats praise dictatorships in countries like Cuba and Venezuela, and turn a blind eye to human rights abuses in China, CPAC continues to fight authoritarianism — whether it’s Fascism, communism, or the woke elite who dominate global institutions. Today we are bringing together leaders and policy makers from around the world to have a conversation about freedom in George Soros’ backyard. It is inspiring to be among people who yearn for freedom and autonomy, and who believe that their nation should make decisions concerning their people, and a political leadership who understands that this nation should make its decisions and not Brussels, and not Geneva, and not Paris, and not Berlin, and not Washington, DC. CPAC happily takes the arrows aimed at us by the globalist, socialist Left whose objective is the submission of humanity to serve their radical agenda. The spark of our Creator is in every human soul. Dignity and freedom as essential to life as oxygen. Let the media of yesteryear and the socialists dreaming of power and oppression of the people throw everything they have at us. We will stand strong and spread the message of freedom across the globe. Watch Matt Schlapp’s opening remarks on conservative.org . ### NEWS & RELEASES .
