CPAC Denounces the Scourge of Anti-Semitism & Racial Intolerance CPAC Denounces the Scourge of Anti-Semitism & Racial Intolerance We reject the reporting of The Guardian and have been assured by our partners in Hungary that the substance of this attack is false. Antisemitism and racial intolerance are scourges that must be eradicated. Those who diminish their ugliness by falsely branding others with their label are just as guilty for the perpetuation of this evil as those who hold hate in their hearts. We, along with our partners, invite hundreds of speakers to our events around the globe, and we do not have a policy of pre-screening remarks at our events. Our objective is always to promote interesting debate on issues that promote freedom, opportunity, and dignity for all people. We have a strong record of advancing conservatism across the globe, speaking to people of different faith and ethnic backgrounds, and we look forward to continuing to combat the intolerance of Woke politics at our conferences both in the US and abroad, including upcoming events in Israel, Brazil, Japan, Australia, and Mexico. • CPAC Stands with Israel

CPAC Stands with Israel CPAC Stands with Israel CPAC (Conservative Political Action Coalition) proudly joined with more than 200,000 attendees on the National Mall in our nation’s capital for the largest rally of Jewish people and those who support Israel in modern history. Since our founding in 1964, CPAC, the nation’s original conservative grassroots organization, has always been a proud supporter of Israel. On October 7, 2023, the world witnessed to the most significant assault on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. On a beautiful Shabbat morning, Hamas terrorists crossed the Israel/Gaza border and murdered families in their beds, raped and beheaded young people at a music festival, and took hostage over 230 people including nine Americans. Israel has the right and the responsibility to protect it citizens. There will be peace only when Hamas has been completely eliminated and a new peaceful government has replaced the terrorist group Hamas. Since the attack, American college campuses infected by grievance politics, cultural Marxism, and the cult of D.E.I. have propagated antisemitic tropes and called for the destruction of the Zionist state. Furthermore, major American cities, including Washington, D.C., Detroit, New York City, and Austin, Texas, have seen extremists chanting "from the river to the sea," defacing monuments, flaunting Nazi regalia, and tragically, perpetrating violence against Jewish Americans. Now is not the time to retreat from Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East. Judeo- Christian values are under attack, and the response of leading global institutions is revealing. We categorically reject the United Nations' misguided resolutions and remain opposed to major news organizations choosing to amplify Hamas’ propaganda. We, the Board of Directors of CPAC and the CPAC Foundation, stand in unyielding solidarity with Israel. NEWS & RELEASES . • CPAC Releases Maryland Legislative Scorecard, Exposing a Veritable ‘California of the East.’

CPAC Releases Maryland Legislative Scorecard, Exposing a Veritable ‘California of the East.’ CPAC Releases Maryland Legislative Scorecard, Exposing a Veritable ‘California of the East.’ ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 22, 2024) — CPAC Foundation’s analysis reveals Maryland to be a leading innovator in Leftist policy on the East Coast. This past session, Maryland’s policymakers created new ways to wage lawfare against conservatives, more crackdowns on Second Amendment freedoms, stronger avenues for vote fraud, and much more. Maryland Democrats deservedly received an average score of less than 1% across both chambers. SEE SCORECARD HERE “Maryland Democrats have utilized their complete control of the legislature and Governor’s office to do all in their power to create a big, oppressive state government,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “Those concerned for the future of our country need to monitor this ‘California of the East’ and publicize its obscene legislation.” CPAC recognizes the following members of the Maryland State Legislature for earning CPAC’s Award for Conservative Excellence for voting with the conservative position at least 90% of the time during the 2023 session. Robin Grammer (100%) Lauren Arikan (97%) William Valentine (97%) William Wivell (97%) Mark Fisher (97%) Matthew Morgan (94%) Terry Baker (93%) Nino Mangione (93%) Jefferson Ghrist (93%) Nicholaus Kipke (92%) Kathy Szeliga (91%) Additionally, several lawmakers in the Maryland State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Achievement for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time during the 2023 session. Their names are highlighted in gray on the scorecard. The bills featured in CPAC’s 2023 Ratings of Maryland address Second Amendment rights, government regulations, and various DEI initiatives. These issues, coupled with our mission to protect life, liberty, property and upholding the American family, created the basis by which the CPAC Foundation rated the Maryland legislature. • Speaker Charles McCall’s Leadership on Education Policy Will Mean New Opportunities for Oklahoma Students; CPAC Applauds Introduction of Education Choice Reform Package

Speaker Charles McCall’s Leadership on Education Policy Will Mean New Opportunities for Oklahoma Students; CPAC Applauds Introduction of Education Choice Reform Package Speaker Charles McCall’s Leadership on Education Policy Will Mean New Opportunities for Oklahoma Students; CPAC Applauds Introduction of Education Choice Reform Package FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 16, 2023 Alexandria, VA — This morning, Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives Charles McCall introduced legislation to give parents more say in their children’s education. The Conservative Political Action Coalition fully supports the Speaker in this endeavor. “HB 2775 and HB 1935 would provide Sooner families who choose to send their children to religious and private schools with a $5,000 per child tax credit to help pay for educational expenses. Homeschool families would be eligible for a $2,500 per child tax credit. The legislation would also bolster rural education by committing $500 million to Oklahoma school districts across the state. Explained Matt Schlapp, CPAC Chairman: “During the pandemic, parents were shocked to see what their children were being taught – and not taught – in government-run schools. The result is a growing chorus of voices calling for choice in education. And conservatives like Charles McCall are leading in that fight.” Study after study shows that students test scores declined precipitously due to the pandemic and overreliance on distance learning. The drop in reading and math scores is directly related to school closures, which were driven by the unholy trinity of teacher unions, the US Department of Education and the Centers for Disease Control. In addition to the poor performance of government-run schools, parents are outraged at the left-wing political indoctrination they saw going on when classes were taught remotely. With woke indoctrination infiltrating classrooms around the country, families desperately need the opportunity to pick the best educational option for their children. We applaud Speaker McCall for working to empower parents by advancing commonsense school choice policy,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. Recently, Iowa, Utah, and Arizona have all passed universal school choice in the form of education savings accounts. Oklahoma can join the growing list of states that fund students, not systems, by passing HB 2775 and HB 1935, which allows parents to access the education services and environments that work best for their children.” CONTACT: David Safavian (202) 347-9388 ### NEWS & RELEASES . • Two Unique, Powerful Forces Will Influence the Midterms

Two Unique, Powerful Forces Will Influence the Midterms Two Unique, Powerful Forces Will Influence the Midterms The first force is the growing lack of voter confidence in our election system. Second, is the looming presence of Donald J. Trump, a one-term, twice-impeached human lightning rod who is still the de facto leader of the Republican Party. No former president in history has ever injected himself into the midterms to this degree, and certainly not in the primary process. Curious about Matt Schlapp’s take on these two forces, I reached out to the high-profile chairman of the American Conservative Union . An ardent Trump supporter, Schlapp is one of the nation’s most influential non-office-holding Republicans and, as host of CPAC, he leads a mighty MAGA army. It's clear that he, like the titular head of that army, has not really accepted the 2020 voting results. “Having a big question mark over a presidential election is bad for democracy,” Schlapp said. “We should know who won. And one of the ways we will know is if we all follow the same rules. We have to get back to voting the way we did in 2016. Will the Democrats try to pull the same shenanigans next year? I do know this: The American people are outraged over the Democratic agenda, and if we vote fairly, they are going to get shellacked. ”There is a history of new presidents getting “shellacked” in their first midterm election, with their party losing control of the House, Senate, or both. In 2010, President Obama used “shellacking” to describe his first, monumental midterm defeat when Republicans won control of the House with a net gain of 63 seats — a number not achieved since 1948. Surely, then-Vice President Joe Biden remembers that repudiation. Read the full article at RealClearPolitics.com . NEWS & RELEASES . CPAC Releases Nebraska Legislative Scorecard, Revealing Greater Polarization in the ‘Nonpartisan’ Legislature. CPAC Releases Nebraska Legislative Scorecard, Revealing Greater Polarization in the ‘Nonpartisan’ Legislature. ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 31, 2024) — CPAC Foundation’s analysis reveals that Nebraska’s most progressive legislators voted far more liberal this year compared to past years. This is best observed in the radicalization of legislators like Sen. Machaela Cavanaugh, Sen. Megan Hunt, and Sen. Carol Blood, whose scores fell by about 30%. SEE SCORECARD HERE “After weeks of filibusters and a slew of frivolous amendments from radical Left-wingers in the legislature, it’s safe to say that Nebraska had a turbulent session in 2023,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “It’s good to see that conservative policymakers leading to fight to protect minors from gender mutilation, babies from the evils of abortion, and Nebraska firearms owners from gun control groups." Seven lawmakers in the Nebraska State Legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Achievement for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time during the 2023 session. They are listed below: Joni Albrecht (86%) Robert Clements (86%) Steve Halloran (86%) Teresa Ibach (86%) John Lowe (85%) Steve Erdman (80%) Rita Sanders (80%) The bills featured in CPAC’s 2023 Ratings of Nebraska address Second Amendment freedoms, school choice, and combatting radical gender ideology.
