- Destroying union jobs
Destroying union jobs News & Releases Explore the latest updates, news, and product releases to stay informed and ahead of the curve. Destroying union jobs The logjam has finally given way. Progress on the long-stalled Keystone XL pipeline—a project which will bring oil from Canada to the Gulf Coast of Texas—has finally resumed. On August 4, Calgary-based TC Energy signed agreements with four labor unions to start building the Alberta-to-Nebraska section. The project will reportedly create 42,000 U.S. jobs, 10,000 of which are in high-paying construction. According to Keystone XL, the project will inject $3.4 billion into the U.S. GDP and boost Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska’s local economies by $55 million in the first year of operation. On top of the boon for US jobs and GDP, the project will create a “multi-million dollar training program for [the] renewable energy sector” via establishing a unique “Green Jobs Training Program” for its union member workers. This should tick any decent politician’s boxes for a great project. Good for jobs Good for the economy Good for the environment But Joe Biden isn’t just any politician. Though he doesn’t call it the “Green New Deal,” Joe Biden’s policies mimic it. In a Joe Biden administration, there would be no Keystone XL pipeline, nor the jobs that go with it. In May, his campaign policy director promised that Biden would “ stop it for good by rescinding the Keystone XL pipeline permit .” Joe Biden talks a good game when it comes to creating millions of fictional energy jobs. But that’s all it is—talk. In reality, where it counts, his first act will be to please his radical, Left-wing puppeteers by destroying thousands of high-paying, climate-friendly Keystone XL union jobs. NEWS & RELEASES . New Jersey Trending More Liberal – New 50 State Analysis State Ranked 7th Most Progressive Legislature in America ALEXANDRIA, VA (November 3, 2022) — The voting of New Jersey’s state lawmakers is trending much more liberal according to a new analysis conducted by the Center for Legislative Accountability (CLA), a project of CPAC Foundation and the American Conservative Union Foundation. In the CLA’s analysis of all 7,400 state lawmakers in America, the New Jersey legislature earned a conservative rating of 27%, a significant drop from the state’s 2020 score of 33%. This rating places New Jersey as the 7th most progressive legislature in the nation, and merely a single percentage point away from Maryland, Vermont and New York which are ranked 4th through 6th most progressive due to their conservative ratings of 26%. Massachusetts is the most progressive legislature with a conservative rating of just 15%, and Alabama the most conservative at 74%. The conservative rating is calculated through an analysis of the votes cast by lawmakers across 186 policy areas ranging from cultural and life issues to tax, fiscal, and regulatory policies. Each year the CLA tallies over 320,000 votes to generate the scores. Only 6 New Jersey lawmakers received awards this year from CPAC for voting with the conservative position at least 80% of the time. Conversely, a record 71 lawmakers earned CPAC’s Coalition of the Radical Left Award for conservative ratings below 10%. NEW JERSEY SCORECARD (Web Version) NEW JERSEY SCORECARD (PDF Version) The ratings have also been incorporated into CPAC’s new Lawmaker Comparison Tool which runs head-to-head comparisons on lawmaker’s strongest and weakest policy areas.
