For over 25 years, Matt Schlapp has been a powerful force in national and international political and public policy efforts.

He has worked for or advised the last 3 GOP presidents. His previous roles in the U.S. Congress, the White House, and various corporate and non profit positions have given him a wealth of knowledge and experience to anticipate and dissect the political trends that have wreaked tumultuous change in America and around the globe.

For almost ten years, he has used his knowledge of political trends as Chairman of the respected and historic CPAC. Under his direction, and with the assistance of his wife Mercedes and a strong board of directors and staff, this major non-profit has seen explosive growth and political impact and has expanded into a global brand.

Schlapp and his wife are also the founders of Cove Strategies, which has successfully advised a variety of important clients for over a decade.

He is active in television and written media and has a prominent online presence where he comments on politics and public policy developments in America and overseas.

Schlapp and his family attend the Basilica of St. Mary in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where his 5 girls have attended school. He is a Knight of Malta and chaired Catholics for Trump in 2020.

He has previously served on a variety of boards before the onset of the woke movement including: The National Association of Manufacturers, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Political Council, the University of Kansas DC Internship program, the Hugo Wall School at Wichita State University and the Eisenhower Memorial Foundation. He was appointed by President Trump to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Library of Congress.

Schlapp keeps close ties to his home state of Kansas where his extended family resides. He received a Masters degree from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame where his two oldest daughters attend.
