CPAC Statement on the Limit, Save, Grow Act
Time and time again, too many republicans have waved the white flag on dealing with “must pass” legislation to fund the government or raise the debt limit, perpetuating a failed system that has left hard-working American Families with $31 Trillion dollars of debt. We applaud the new Republican Majority for addressing the problem head on with the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023 sponsored by Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (CPAC Conservative 97% Lifetime Rating).
Speaker Kevin McCarthy (CPAC Conservative 84% Lifetime Rating) deserves our support in his fight to hold the Biden administration accountable for their disastrous socialist policies. The Green New Deal, federal welfare programs, and overreaching regulation on businesses has led to rampant inflation, crushing American families.
Since the new Republican majority has taken over the House of Representatives, we have seen a push to unleash American Energy, protect girls in sports, give parents a stronger voice in their child’s education, and hold reckless Soros prosecutors, like Alvin Bragg, accountable. It is now time to pass legislation that will begin to alleviate the stranglehold our massive national debt has on our nation. More can be accomplished if House Republicans continue to stand their ground.
CPAC applauds the leaders in the House of Representatives who are fighting for American families by working to pass legislation that unleashes the American economy and gives power back to the people they were elected to serve. We will continue to recommend to our sister organization, the CPAC Foundation’s Center for Legislative Accountability (Ratings), to monitor the package and recommend they positively score a vote in favor of a package which prevents a ‘clean’ debt ceiling increase while delivering conservative policy solutions like those included in the introduced Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023.
