CPAC Statement on SCOTUS Carson v. Makin Ruling

 

Alexandria, VA — Today Matt Schlapp, Chairman of the Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC), released the following statement following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Carson v. Makin:

 

“This week, the U.S. Supreme Court delivered a great victory for parents who want to choose the best educational option for their kids. The decision in Carson v. Makin not only correctly applies the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment but is a victory for the religious rights of educational institutions.


“This decision will ensure that choice in education cannot exclude faith-based schools. CPAC has long believed educational funding should follow students and not fund unaccountable systems.”
