CPAC Statement on Dismissal of Trump Classified Documents Case
The dismissal of the “classified documents” witch hunt by Judge Aileen Cannon is a long overdue victory for the rule of law. While it should be celebrated, the decision should have been issued as soon as this whole canard was concocted by the Biden Administration.
The Biden Department of Justice illegally gave a private citizen, Jack Smith, the ability to bring the flawed case and the justification to commence a raid on President Donald J. Trump’s home with guns drawn.
Attorney General Merrick Garland, White House Counsel Ed Siskel, and the rest of the Biden Administration have routinely subverted the law in order to engage in lawfare against their top political opponent. Thankfully, the decision by Judge Cannon finally puts an end to some of the Left’s egregious lawfare.
