CPAC Statement on the Passing of Mike Long

Alexandria, VA — CPAC released the following statement following the passing of Mike Long:

The conservative movement has lost one of its stalwart members with the passing of Mike Long. In addition to his 27 years of service on the ACU board, as a Conservative Party leader and later chairman, Mike helped accomplish what no one thought possible–giving conservatives a voice in New York state government: a U.S. Senator (James Buckley), helping to carry New York for Ronald Reagan and even a member of the New York City Council (Mike himself). Our thoughts and prayers go out to his widow Eileen and their nine children.
