Under this program, recent graduates from nursing school may receive up to $18,000 over the course of three years in order to help pay for the costs of their tuition. CPAC does not believe that the government should be using taxpayer funds to pay for other people’s tuition and opposed this bill. Ratings Lawmakers Search Bill Search Congress States Archives Home SB 116 Glock-Switch Ban 2025 - Alabama House of Representatives Vote Description SB 116 makes it illegal for individuals to possess a part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert a pistol into a machine gun. These conversion devices are known as Glock switches. With a federal ban already in place, CPAC considers this bill largely redundant. Still, the willingness of many Alabama Republicans to collaborate with gun-control advocates is alarming, so CPAC opposes this bill. SB 116 was passed by the Alabama House of Representatives in a 77-23 vote on March 6, 2025, and it was later signed into law by Governor Kay Ivey. Ratings Lawmakers Search Bill Search Congress States Archives Home RC 622 Censuring Rashida Tlaib for the Spreading of Falsehoods and Antisemitism. 2023 - US House of Representatives Vote Description This resolution sponsored by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene censures Representative Rashida Tlaib for her antisemitic remarks, her sympathy for terrorist organizations, and her leadership of an insurrection at the US Capitol Complex. Following the October 7 attacks on Israel, Representative Tlaib made numerous false and misleading statements about the ongoing conflict. For example, she, along with several news outlets, helped foster the lie that Israel had launched a rocket at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital and had killed hundreds of people. This was, of course, entirely incorrect. The rocket had only hit a nearby parking lot and had been fired by the terrorists themselves. Representative Tlaib would later go on to help lead a protest inside of the Canon Rotunda in the US Capitol Complex. CPAC opposes Representative Tlaib’s deceitfulness, further opposes her storming of the Capitol, and supported this resolution. The House killed this resolution on November 7, 2023 by a vote of 234-188.
