This amendment removes a provision from the appropriations bill that allows funds from the budget reserve fund to be appropriated to the general fund when the government spends too much. CPAC supports measures that tamp down government spending and supported this amendment. The House defeated this amendment on April 4, 2023 by a vote of 11-29.
