This bill establishes the Rural Economic Development Initiative, the likes of which will dole out taxpayer funds to favored developments in rural areas. CPAC opposes programs like this and opposed this bill. The House passed the bill on March 30, 2023 by a vote of 85-2 and the bill later became law.
