This bill makes the act of performing gender transition procedures on minors equivalent to medical malpractice in certain circumstances. This means that, if certain conditions are met, these gender transition procedures may cause the practitioner to incur civil liability for their actions. CPAC opposes the mutilation of minors and supported this bill as a small step in the right direction. The House passed the bill on March 8, 2023 by a vote of 76-17 and the bill later became law.
