This bill prohibits county election officials from using ballot “drop boxes” as a means of collecting absentee ballots. CPAC opposes measures that reduce election security, recognizes that ballot drop boxes reduce election security, and supported this bill. The House passed the bill on March 13, 2023 by a vote of 80-16 and the bill later became law.
