This bill strikes out provisions that authorized certain local governments to impose income taxes on residents living within their jurisdiction. CPAC supports appropriate efforts to relieve citizens of their tax burden, supports efforts to reduce the power of localities to levy taxes, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 9, 2023 by a vote of 27-6 and the bill later became law.
