This bill disqualifies people from receiving unemployment insurance benefits if they don’t show up to employment interviews or respond to offers of employment. CPAC supports efforts to ensure that unemployment insurance remains a temporary bridge between jobs and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on February 16, 2023 by a vote of 33-0 and the bill later became law.
