This bill requires school officials to treat a student’s religious expression in the same way that they treat secular expressions. It further states that they may not discriminate against a student’s voluntary expression. CPAC supports the preservation of First Amendment freedoms and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on April 4, 2023 by a vote of 25-5 and the bill later became law.
