This bill, the likes of which is one of numerous election reform bills that the legislature attempted to pass in 2023, requires that both a Democrat and a Republican be permitted to oversee the signature verification process for early, provisional, and conditional provisional ballots. CPAC supports efforts to shore up election security and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on May 15, 2023 by a vote of 31-26 but the bill was vetoed by Governor Hobbs.
