HB 2379
Preventing Infringements on the Property Rights of Hotels and Other Similar Establishments.
2023 - Arizona House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill prohibits the government from requiring hotels and motels to participate in programs that offer housing vouchers to homeless people such that they may occupy “unoccupied” hotel rooms. CPAC opposes government efforts to cram down regulations and programs onto hotels, opposes this form of twisted welfare, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 21, 2023 by a vote of 31-29 but the bill was vetoed by Governor Hobbs.
