HB 2505
Extending the Life of Unnecessary Bureaucracies.
2023 - Arizona House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill extends the sunset date on the Arizona Outdoor Recreation Coordinating Commission to July 1, 2031. This commission, in part, establishes “equitable” criteria for the distribution of funding to outdoor recreation causes. CPAC does not believe that the government should involve itself in this way in outdoor recreation, opposes the use of equity in determining how funding is allocated, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on February 20, 2023 by a vote of 52-4 and the bill later became law.
