SB 1500
Protecting Arizona’s State Investments from ESG-Obsessed Public Fiduciaries.
2023 - Arizona House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill prohibits public fiduciaries from investing funds from the states retirement plans exclusively to further ESG objectives. It also requires the State Treasurer to publish the list of investments that the state has made on a publicly-accessible website. CPAC supports efforts to diminish the influence of ESG standards in the government’s decision-making processes and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on May 15, 2023 by a vote of 31-27 but the bill was vetoed by Governor Hobbs.
