Vote Description

This bill prohibits the Department of Economic Security from seeking or renewing any work requirement waivers for able-bodied adults for the SNAP unless it is required by state or federal law. CPAC supports efforts to protect the SNAP's status as a temporary bridge between jobs and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 22, 2024 by a vote of 31-28 but Governor Hobbs vetoed the bill.
