Vote Description
This bill extends the sunset date on the Cotton Research and Protection Council. Established in 1984, this program funds research and technology designed to promote the cotton industry. CPAC opposes sections of the government bureaucracy that promote certain industries over another, opposes the continuation of this kind of bureaucracy, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 4, 2024 by a vote of 48-10 and the bill later became law.
