2024 - Arizona Senate

Vote Description
This bill requires able-bodied adults under 60 years of age to undergo an employment and training program in order to continue to qualify to receive SNAP benefits. CPAC supports efforts to preserve the welfare system's status as a temporary bridge between jobs and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 27, 2024 by a vote of 16-11 but Governor Hobbs vetoed the bill.
