This bill makes it a state crime for a person to illegally enter the United States from Mexico outside of a port of entry. CPAC supports efforts to enforce federal immigration law and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 21, 2024 by a vote of 16-13 but Governor Hobbs vetoed the bill.
