This bill prohibits the government from considering a person’s credit score when determining whether that person should receive rent subsidies. CPAC opposes measures that create perverse incentives and expand welfare programs and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed this bill on September 12, 2023 by a vote of 62-12 and the bill later became law.
