Vote Description

This bill creates a new bureaucracy, the Department of Industrial Relations, to conduct a study of industrial relations with the end result a recommendation to raise the minimum wage. CPAC opposes these artificial wages that hurt those who need the help the most, such as students and inexperienced workers and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed the bill on January 29, 2024 by a vote of 61-10 but the bill was not taken up in the Senate.
