This bill adds to government obstacles to development and “affordable” housing by adding wildlife and “habitat connectivity” to the Planning and Zoning Law. CPAC views this as another effort to put obstacles in the way of the taxpayers’ right to own and develop land and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed the bill on August 28, 2024 by a vote of 57-16 and the bill later became law.
