This bill moves up by a year (2026 from 2027) California’s energy mandate to implement restricted oil and gas production in designated “Health Protection Zones.” CPAC views this for what it is—another gimmick whose real purpose is to implement a green agenda that deprives energy consumers of abundant, affordable energy of their choice. The Assembly passed the bill on August 31,2024 by a vote of 58-17 and the bill later became law.
