AB 665
Concealing Critical Information About Minors from Parents.
2023 - California Senate

Vote Description
This bill allows minors to consent to receive certain “mental health services” and residential shelter services without the consent of their parents. It also allows psychologists to refrain from involving parents in this mental health treatment. CPAC believes that the government and other extraneous individuals are not as capable of parenting as actual parents, opposes measures that reduce the involvement of parents in the lives of their children, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on September 6, 2023 by a vote of 31-8 and the bill later became law.
