SB 132
Enriching Woke Hollywood Producers with Tax Credits and Enacting Other Film-Related Shenanigans.
2023 - California Senate

Vote Description
This bill extends the sunset date on California’s $330,000,000 film and TV tax incentive program to 2030. The bill also requires that producers, in order to qualify for a tax credit, submit a “diversity workplan” that demonstrates that producers are fulfilling various racist and sexist hiring requirements for their film. CPAC opposes the expansion of film tax credits, opposes the government’s promotion of DEI initiatives, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 27, 2023 by a vote of 37-0 and the bill later became law.
