SB 253
Imposing Onerous Costs and Regulations onto Large Corporations.
2023 - California Senate
Vote Description

This bill requires the California Air Resources Board to develop regulations forcing corporations that make over a billion dollars in annual revenues to disclose their greenhouse gas emissions to emissions reporting companies. CPAC recognizes that this measure will impose unnecessarily large costs on these corporations, opposes the codification of radical ESG values into public law, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on September 12, 2023 by a vote of 27-8 and the bill later became law.
