This bill prohibits certain medical licensing boards from denying a license to a physician because of their participation in radical gender surgeries or abortions. It also prohibits people from disclosing that a person is located at an abortion clinic and allows minors to receive abortions without the consent of their parents. Furthermore, the bill replaces references to “unborn children” with the word “fetus.” CPAC opposes the dehumanization and slaughter of unborn children, supports parental rights in general, believes abortion is always a human tragedy and an act of extreme cruelty, opposes the protection and attempted vindication of the practice, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on September 7, 2023 by a vote of 32-8 and the bill later became law.
