This bill prohibits consumer reporting agencies from reporting medical debt information. CPAC recognizes that this will damage the ability of financial institutions to make well-informed decisions about loans and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 13, 2023 by a vote of 44-19 and the bill later became law.
